Information for presenters at the 21CSC:
Oral presentations:
Speakers breakfast - those individuals making an oral presentation are
asked to attend the Speakers breakfast (Glacier Salon across the hall from the Chinook
Restaurant) from 7 am to 7:45 am on the day of their
presentation, to meet the Chair of their session.
Speaker Ready room - Speakers can preview their presentation on the
laptop at the registration desk located in the Alpine Meadows Reception
Area.
Pre-load your presentation - Speakers should have their presentation
available on a USB memory stick. You are asked to pre-load your
presentation on the computer in the room scheduled for your
presentation. You should do this before 8 am or during the morning
break (9:20-9:40am) if your talk is in the morning session, or before 1
pm or during the afternoon break (15:00-15:20am) if your talk is in the
afternoon session.
Timing - Please ensure that you complete your talk in the time
allocated as follows:
Regular oral presentations: 17 mins + 3 mins for questions = 20 min
total
Keynote presentations: 35 mins + 5mins questions = 40 min total
Plenary presentations: 45 mins + 10 mins questions = 55 min total
Poster presentations:
Posters should be prepared to fit in a 43"x43" board area.
The poster session is scheduled for Monday evening from 7 pm to 9 pm in
the Black Bear Room, located on the main level of the hotel. Presenters
should put their posters up starting at noon on Monday, May 10. The
poster layout will be made available on Monday morning in the Black Bear
Room. Posters should be removed by Tuesday evening at 8pm at the
latest.
Graduate students wishing to be considered for the Alberta Sulphur
Research Ltd poster competition must identify their poster with the
yellow sticker provided for this purpose. Posters presented by graduate
students will be assessed by a review panel during the Poster Session to
be held on the evening of Monday, May 10, 2010 from 7 to 9pm. Poster
presenters must be present at their poster for the period 7 - 9pm so
that the judges have an opportunity to speak to each presenter.
